Brijesh Kumar Mishra, Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), South Eastern Circle, conducted a safety inspection of the newly constructed third line between Ladda and Jimidipeta stations on Saturday, January 24,2026 .
This 7.181 km stretch is a part of the Titlagarh-Vizianagaram 3rd line project in Waltair Division of East Coast Railway.
The section features 60 kg rails and a major bridge, constructed to conform to 25 tonne axle load standards. The inspection concluded successfully, with speed trials passing without issues, leading to authorization for full-fledged commissioning.
This project was successfully commissioned due to the efforts of ECoR’s construction organisation’s Civil Engineering, Signal & Telecom, and Electrical departments besides RVNL, a railway PSU. in coordination with Waltair Division’s operations and traffic planning teams.
Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair, officials of ECoR’s construction organization, RVNL, and other senior officers from Waltair Division were present during the CRS inspection.
