Indian Railways Plans Double Stacked Dwarf Containers, Asks Zones For Feasibility Info

The Railway Board has asked zones to submit data on a dozen routes exploring the feasibility to run double stacked dwarf containers (DSDC).

Zones have to submit information about any infringements to these containers that exist along the section by Wednesday, January 22, 2020.

The routes are:

  1. Itarsi-Ballarshah  (CR)
  2. Ballarshah-Gudur (SCR)
  3. Gudur- Korukkupet (SR)
  4. Tughlakabad -Bina (NCR)
  5. Bina-Itarsi (WCR)
  6. Pt.Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn- Patliputra- New Jalpaiguri (ECR)
  7. Bawal-Alwar -Mathura (NWR)
  8. Katihar-Rangapani (NFR)
  9. Mathura-Agra Cantt-Tundla – Pt.Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn (NCR)
  10. Wadi-Guntakal (SCR)
  11. Bhusaval-Pune-Wadi (CR)
  12. Guntakal -Bengaluru (SWR)
