At least two people are reported to have been killed and more than 20 injured in a foot over bridge (FOB) collapse outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) station in Mumbai. The incident occurred around 19:35 hours.
The walkway of the bridge has fallen off while the structure continues to remain intact. Rescue operations are underway to extricate the people trapped under the slab.
The bridge is on the Harbour line platform side and is meant for passengers to cross over to the Times of India building side of the road and is quite busy during this time of the day.
The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals.
