“Gaadi bula rahi hai.” A New Era in Railway Reporting and Analysis

Dear Readers of RailPost

A journey on the Indian Railways is one the most exciting experiences one can enjoy.

From the deserts of Rajasthan, to the snow-clad Himalayas, from plains of the Ganga, to the ghat sections of the Konkan Railway and the hills of the North East, from the plateaus of Malwa, Chhota Nagpur and the Deccan, to the beautiful coasts, a train can take you through a landscape that has to be seen to be believed.

The philosophy behind the sweet sounds of clickety-clack was aptly captured by the song ‘Gaadi Bula Rahi Hai’ from the 1974 Hindi film ‘Dost’. The team behind this melodious number comprised lyricist Anand Bakshi, music directors Laxmikant-Pyarelal and the singer Kishore Kumar. Their creation was one for posterity.

We take this opportunity to formally declare the RailPost website as live.

Starting today, the 10th of February 2019, we begin our journey bringing you news, insight and more on the awe inspiring behemoth that is the Indian Railways.

Happy Reading.
