The Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet has approved the names of the following officers to take over as General Managers / Director General RDSO. This is as per a notification issued by Pallavi Singh, Director Appointments Committee of the Cabinet vide No. 23/02/2026 -EO (SM-II) dated 17/02/2026. The notification has been issued by Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensionsas follows:

In addition, Ashok Kumar Verma, (IRSS 1987 batch) has been appointed GM ,Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE) on lateral transfer basis.
GMs take charge
On Wednesday, the following GMs out of the eight listed above took charge (at the time of filing this news report). They were
- Manoranjan Pradhan a 1989 batch IRSS officer took over as General Manager, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka.
- Ashutosh Pant IRSEE 1989 batch took over as General Manager Banaras Locomotive Works, Varanasi
- Rajesh Kumar Pandey IRSSE 1989 batch took over as General Manager Northern Railway.
- Ashish Bansal, IRSE 1989 batch took over as General Manager (Construction), Northeast Frontier Railway.
