KEC International Gets Contract For Electrification of 1,217 km on South Central Railway

The Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE) has issued a Letter of Acceptance to KEC International Limited to undertake electrification works on several sections on South Central Railway (SCR).

The contract is for electrification of 1,217.9 route kilometres or a total of 1,415.6 track kilometres on SCR territory. The total cost of the project has been fixed at Rs. 973 crores.

Sections To Be Electrified

  • Dharmavaram – Pakala
  • Nandyal – Yerraguntla
  • Lingampet-Jagtiyal – Nizamabad
  • Gadwal – Raichur
  • Pimpalkuti – Mudkhed
  • Parbhani – Parli Vaijnath
  • Purna – Akola
  • Parli Vaijnath – Vikarabad

The project is to be completed within 900 days from the Appointed Date.
