Central and Western Railway will take up maintenance on Mumbai’s suburban railway network this Sunday. Details for both zones are provided below:
Central Railway Maintenance Schedule for Mumbai on Sunday, 18th October 2020
Matunga – Mulund Up and Dn Fast Lines from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm
Dn Fast / Semi – Fast special locals leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 9.23 am to 2.42 pm will be diverted on Dn slow line between Matunga and Mulund halting as per scheduled and further rediverted on Dn fast line at Mulund.
Up Fast special locals leaving Thane from 9.33 am to 2.58 pm will be diverted on Up slow line between Mulund and Parel halting as per scheduled and further rediverted on Up fast line at Parel.
Panvel- Vashi Up and Dn harbour lines from 10.40 am to 3.40 pm
(Including Belapur- Seawoods – Uran line)
Up Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel from 10.00 am to 3.35 pm will remain suspended.
Dn Harbour line services to Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm will remain suspended.
However, special local trains will run on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Vashi section during the block period.
Western Railway Maintenance Schedule for Mumbai on Sunday, 18th October 2020
To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of four hours will be taken on UP and DOWN Slow line between Bhayandar and Vasai Road from 11.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs on Sunday, 18th October, 2020.
During the block period, all UP and DOWN Slow line trains will be operated on Fast lines between Borivali to Vasai Road/Virar stations, says WR CPRO Sumit Thakur.
