South Eastern Railway’s passenger revenue grows 4.57 per cent YoY

Kolkata-headquartered South Eastern Railway (SER) has booked originating passenger revenue of Rs 1552.06 crore for the nine-month period ending December 2018, said a statement released by SER

This is a growth of Rs 67.86 crore or 4.57 per cent over the revenue booked in the corresponding nine –month period of last fiscal, the statement added.

The zone carried 200.81 million passengers during 9M FY19 as against 194.85 million during 9M FY18 – a YoY growth of 3.06 per cent.

Of this, 104.87 million were suburban passengers while 95.94 million were non-suburban passengers. SER said that both segments grew year-on-year.
