SWR : BUREAU OF ELECTRICAL EFFICIENCY LABEL AWARDED TO RAILWAY HOSPITAL SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY AT BENGALURU

Bureau of Energy and Efficiency (BEE), Government of India, Ministry of Power has awarded Certificate to Divisional Railway Hospital, Bengaluru with 5 Star BEE Rating.


BEE establish systems and procedures to verify, measure and monitor Energy Efficiency (EE) improvements in all sectors of the country. Star Rating Program for buildings is based on the energy usage in the building over its area expressed in kWh/sqm/year. This program rates buildings on 1-5 scale, with 5 star labeled buildings being most efficient. 

Based on the Energy efficiency Index of Divisional Railway Hospital at Bengaluru located in Warm and humid Zone, BEE has accredited 5 Star label.  The Energy Performance Index of Railway Hospital Bengaluru is 24.90 (kWh/sqm/anum). The label is valid for 5 years.

Divisional Railway Hospital, South Western Railway, Bengaluru, is the second Government building in Karnataka to be labeled with 5 star after Divisional Railway Managers Office, South Western Railway, Bengaluru.

Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, GM/SWR at various forums reiterated the importance of conservation of energy.  Shri Ashok Kumar Verma, Divisional Railway Manager/SWR, Bengaluru, informed that it was an honour to receive 5 star label from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India.
