“Swachh Neer” was observed on Central Railway on 26th September 2019 as a part of “Swachhata Pakhwada”, Clean Neer and residential premises is ensured. Officers, Staff, Students, NGOs involved in to cleaning activities of water stands, water coolers, wash basins, water filters, storage tanks and water-bodys. Water samples were collected and tested. Water vending machines were also inspected.
Mumbai Div:- Shri Shivaji Kadam, Dy. CEnHM HQ inspected water vending machines at Kalyan station, during the inspection any deficiency was found concerned department of informed and got rectified immediately. He along with other staff appealed Passengers to keep the water vending premises clean.
Pune Div:- In Pune division Students of Indira vidyalaya school, Kirloskarwadi in all total 425 students of Savitribhai pule vidyalaya ,Laxmibai Bhaurao Patil, Kanya Vidyalaya, ASC College, Ramanandnagar all participated in Swachhata abhyan by massive participation in cleanliness activities and rallies taken on ban of single use of plastic. Shri Sunil Mishra, Sr. DCM along with concerned staff checked the quality of water and also checked water used in pantry car.
Bhusaval Div: In Bhusaval division ADRM Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha checked carriage watering at station and on trains. Other officers, CHIs, Station Director shri G R Iyer and team checked all water installations on Bhusaval station. Rain water harvesting locations, sewage treatment plant, Manmad was cleaned by performing shramdan activities. Water vending machines were ensured for good working conditions. Passengers were promoted to avail water from water vending machines which will also reduce use of plastic bottles.
Nagpur Division: Cleaning of RO water vending machine done at Betul station of Nagpur division. Cleanliness activities actively done with involvement of citizens of Pandhurna station. Rail Neer stalls at Nagpur station was inspected for the quality of water and sanitation by Sr.DCM Shri K.Patil.
Solapur Division: Intensive cleaning of drinking water taps and tanks were undertaken at Kurduwadi. Inspection of Filtration unit and drinking water taps done under the supervision of Shri Pradeep kumar, Sr. DCM, Solapur at Ahmednagar. Quality of water was also inspected at Daund station.
