Eastern Railway (ER) on Friday, officially inaugurated the ₹293.67 crore Jasidih bypass rail line during a grand ceremony held at Deoghar Station. The line was formally inaugurated by Member of Parliament from Godda, Jharkhand, Nishikant Dubey, in the presence of Gitika Pandey, General Manager, ER and Sangrah Maurya, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Asansol Division.
To mark this occasion, a special train from Deoghar to Madhupur via the newly commissioned Jasidih bypass line was flagged off. The new line directly links Kumrabad Rohini and Deoghar completely eliminating the process of loco reversal at the congested Jasidih station.
