Central Railway will acquire 22.13 hectares of land for the construction of the 131-km Bhusawal-Khandwa 3rd and 4th line. This was stated in a corrigendum issued on April 9,2026 by Ministry of Railways under Clause 20A of the Railway (Amendment) Act 2008.
The corrigendum was issued by Bhuvnesh Kumar Gupta, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) in regard to the e-gazette notification No. 2483 dated 11th June, 2025 which provided details of land to be acquired in five villages of Burhanpur for the 3rd and 4th line.
All the five villages Borsel, Chulkhan, Ratagad, Nimna Raiyat and Nashirabad are situated in Nepanagar taluk in Burhanpur district.
