NFR to run four restoration specials

NorthEast Frontier Railway (NFR) will run four special train to restore rail traffic in the Tinsukia -Namrup-Simaluguri mian line section.


The section was closed for traffic after a goods train derailed at about 6-40 am on Sunday between Naharkatiya and Duliajan stations under Tinsukia division.

As a result of this derailment many trains have either been diverted via Simaluguri – Sibsagar Town – Dibrugarh section or partially cancelled/cancelled.


However, to serve the passengers of New Tinsukia area the following arrangements have been made as detailed below:

Empty rake of 15960 Dibrugarh – Howrah Kamrup express will arrive New Tinsukia at 19-30 hrs from Dibruarh and will depart at 20-00 hrs to reach Dibrugarh at 20-50hrs. From Dibrugarh it will leave at 21-00hrs via Moranhat – Simaluguri route.


Empty rake of 12423 Dibrugarh – New Delhi Rajdhani Express will leave Dibrugarh at 20-35 hrs to arrive New Tinsukia at 21-30 hr. It will depart at 22-00 hrs to reach Dibrugarh at 22-50hrs. From Dibrugarh it will late start at 23-00 hrs via Moranhat – Simaluguri route.


Empty rake of 14055 Dibrugarh – Delhi Brahmaputa mail will leave Dibrugarh at 23-25 hrs to arrive New Tinsukia at 00-15 hrs on 09-12-19 and will again depart at 00-45 hrs to reach Dibrugarh at 01-35 hrs on 09-12-19. From Dibrugarh it will late start at 02-00 hrs on 09-12-19 via Moranhat – Simaluguri route.

Empty rake of 15930 Dibrugarh – Tambaram Express will leave Dibrugarh at 23-45 hrs to arrive New Tinsukia at 00-40 hrs on 09-12-19 and will again depart at 01-10 hrs to reach Dibrugarh at 02-15 hrs on 09-12-19. From Dibrugarh it will late start at 02-30 hrs on 09-12-19 via Moranhat – Simaluguri route.


Accident relief trains with crane are working at site for early restoration of the section. Senior railway officials from Tinsukia division as well as from HQ are also at site for monitoring of restoration work.
