CR: Only Packed Food Items To Be Available on Special Trains, Passenger to Pay, Other Guidelines Inside

Provision of packed items only on payment basis in Special Trains from 1.6.2020

As decided by Ministry of Railways, Central Railway will run Special trains with effect from 1.6.2020. These specials will run in addition to Special AC trains being run from 12th May 2020.

Passengers are requested to bring their own food and water, however provision of only packed items, Ready to Eat Meals (RTE), Packaged Drinking Water,  and Tea/Coffee/Beverages on payment basis will be made available in these trains either through pantry cars or train side vending /  Catering stalls run by IRCTC / Railways on platforms.

Passengers are requested to please note the above changes.

Daily Special Trains from 1.6.2020 – Advisory to passengers

As decided by Ministry of Railways, 230 special trains viz. 200 special trains will run with effect from 1.6.2020 and 30 special AC trains already running with effect from 12.5.2020. These specials are in addition to existing Shramik Special Trains being run from 1st May 2020.

Reservation:

·         Tickets can be booked on both online (IRCTC website and Mobile App) and offline mediums (PRS counters, ticketing agents, CSC, etc.)

·         Other terms e.g., Current booking, Tatkal quota allocation of seats to road side stations etc to be same as in regular time tabled trains.

General Instructions to Passengers

·         Only passengers with Confirmed/RAC tickets shall be allowed to enter the Railway station and board the train.

·         All passengers must wear face covers / masks from entry to exit at railway stations and during travel.

·         The passengers shall reach the station at-least 90 minutes in advance to facilitate thermal screening at the station.

·         All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App, and strictly adhere to social distancing norms during travel.

·         No linen, blankets and curtains shall be provided inside the train.

·         No catering charges shall be included in the fare.
