East Coast Railway (ECoR) achieved the freight loading target of 275 million tonnes (MT) on March 20 2026, 11 days ahead of schedule.
ECoR has loaded 275.6 million tonnes of freight up to 20th March 2026, registering a growth of 10.4 per cent over the corresponding period last year at 249.6 million tonnes.
Further, ECoR surpassed 250 MT of unloading on 21st March 2026, significantly improving upon last year’s unloading figure of 236.5 MT during the same period.
East Coast Railway carries commodities such as coal, iron ore, steel, and other bulk goods, supporting the nation’s economic growth.
