
The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), North Eastern Circle, Pranjiv Saxena, conducted a safety inspection on July10,2026 for the new third electric traction line (25,000 Volt AC capacity) between Gonda Jn. and Gonda Kacheri (4.89 km).
During the inspection, the CRS first inspected the safety aspects of Gonda Kacheri railway station. He inspected Point and Crossing No. 226A in the yard to ensure compliance with standards. Subsequently, he conducted a detailed safety inspection—traveling via motor trolley—of Bridge Nos. 354 and 362, as well as the Limited Height Subway (LHS) located between the Gonda Kacheri and Gonda Jn. sections. He then inspected Level Crossing No. 261A and assessed safety and operational efficiency by questioning the on-duty gateman regarding safety protocols.
Upon reaching Gonda Jn. railway station, the CRS conducted a comprehensive inspection—in accordance with established standards—of the station yard, the newly constructed state-of-the-art electronic interlocking panel, the central relay room, the battery room, and the updated Station Working Rules, thoroughly evaluating all safety-related parameters.
In the final phase, the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) conducted a successful speed trial on the third electrified railway line between Gonda Junction and Gonda Kachehri stations using the CRS special train, achieving a maximum permissible speed of 71 kmph.
The inspection was carried out in the presence of Chief Electrical Engineer/Construction O.P. Singh, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction, Anuj Mittal, Chief Engineer/TMC, Sanjay Yadav, Chief Electrical Distribution Engineer, Suresh Kumar and Divisional Railway Manager Gaurav Agarwal and other key officials.
