
On October 9, 2026, a high-level meeting was held with the Hon’ble Members of Parliament representing Agra Division at Taj Convention Hotel, Agra. The agenda was to share North Central Railway (NCR) Agra Division’s recent achievements, review infrastructure development and seek valuable suggestions.
Addressing the meeting, General Manager, NCR, Naresh Pal Singh, said that railway projects were being completed at a faster pace through adequate budgetary support. During the financial year 2025–26, Agra Division served 35.307 million passengers, generating passenger revenue of ₹729.92 crore and freight revenue of ₹548.87 crore. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, work has been completed at 6 out of the 15 selected stations, while work at the remaining stations is in progress.

List of suggestions from Members of Parliament (MP) were as follows:
MP (Lok Sabha) from Mathura, Hema Malini
- Construction of a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) towards the Agra end of Mathura Junction to connect Platforms 1, 2, 8, 9 and 10
- Stoppage of the Gatimaan Express at Mathura Junction in public interest.
MP (Lok Sabha) from Fatehpur Sikri, Rajkumar Chahar
- Extending MEMU train No. 64624, operating between Etawah and Agra Cantt, up to Bandikui;
- Installing water coolers at all stations
- Establishing an One Station One Product (OSOP) stall for the famous Petha and Namkeen products of Fatehpur Sikri
- Reconsidering the structure and design of underpasses to address waterlogging issues
MP (Lok Sabha) from Agra, S.P. Singh Baghel
- Stoppage for the Kanpur–Delhi Shatabdi Express at Tundla station.
- Train stoppage at Phaphund railway station for NGPC /GAIL employees
- Increasing the frequency of train services between Agra and Etah, providing a stoppage at Awagarh
MP (Lok Sabha) from Etawah, Jitendra Kumar Dohare
- Passenger shelter at Udimod railway station,
- Dedicated parking facilities for Divyangjan (persons with disabilities),
- Platform benches at Jaitpura,
- Halt at Bahadurpura village.
- Stoppage at Etawah for Lalgarh Express , Train No. 22415 Vande Bharat Express and Train No. 20433 Jammu Mail
- Proper maintenance of old railway residential quarters
MP (Rajya Sabha), Uttar Pradesh, Naveen Jain
- Increasing the number of seating chairs on platforms in proportion to their length,
- Establishing enquiry counters on all platforms,
- Increasing the number of RO water coolers at stations,
- Ensuring round-the-clock cleanliness and increasing the number of toilets.
- Regular train service between Agra -Indore and Agra Cantt- Ujjain new train service
MP (Rajya Sabha), Uttar Pradesh, Chaudhary Tejveer Singh,
- Train No. 22470, operating between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Khajuraho, be operated six days a week and provided with stoppages at Mathura and Datia
- Stoppage of Train No. 22222 at Mathura
MP(Rajya Sabha), Uttar Pradesh Jayant Chaudhary
- Providing a train stoppage at Jalesar Road railway station,
- Construction of Road Over Bridges (ROBs) at Level Crossing No. 37 (Mathura Gate) and Level Crossing No. 31 (Ikran Gate)
The meeting was conducted by Deputy General Manager/General, Atul Mishra. Divisional Railway Manager, Agra, Gagan Goyal, all Principal Heads of Departments from NCR headquarters, and other senior railway officials were present.
