Recruitment process is on for 143086 vacancies in Indian Railways according to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
This is as per the annual calendar for 2024 and 2025 said Vaishnaw in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. First Stage/Single Stage Computer Based Tests (CBTs) for 59,678 posts has been completed while second stage CBTs have been completed for 38308 posts.
Computer based Aptitude test (CBAT) for 18799 Assistant Loco Pilot posts and translation test for 1036 posts for ministerial & isolated categories have also been completed.
In addition, as per annual calendar for 2025, nine Centralized Employment Notifications (CENs) for 50970 vacancies (including 3412 vacancies for Southern Railway and 438 vacancies for ICF) have also been issued.
