
On Sunday, February 15, 2026, Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) E. Srinivas, conducted a detailed inspection of the newly constructed second line on Ateli-Narnaul section under North Western Railway’s (NWR), Jaipur Division.
The inspection commenced at 9 am during which a detailed examination of track, bridges,signalling and other safety parameters was done.
The CRS and his team inspected the track fitness, track geometry, joints, points and crossings, sleepers and ballast packing. Interlocking and other signalling infrastructure were also scrutinised as per extant safety standards.
Speed Trial
Following this , a speed trial was conducted by running an locomotive at 120 kmph. The track’s vibration, balance, bridge response, and signal response were assessed.
The doubled line will be commissioned upon receiving the completion and safety certificates based on the inspection report.
Post this, regular passenger and freight train operations will be approved.
The doubling is expected to increase the number of trains, reduce crossing time, and improve punctuality. It will also enhance connectivity and boost economic activity in the region.
The inspection team consisted of Deputy CRS Vijay Kumar Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager Ravi Jain, and several senior officials.
