Post inspection and speed trial, the CRS authorised that the section was fit to run trains at 100 kmph.
This section is a part of Hyderabad division, South Central Railway and the project is a part of Mudkhed -Medchal doubling. Chainage for this section is from Km marker 430.0 at Basar to Km marker 446.90 at Navipet with reference to start of SCR’s territory at Manmad (Km marker 0).

The section is important as it passes through an important bridge over the river Godavari just after Basar railway station [ The famous Gnana Saraswati Temple dedicated to the Goddess of Learning is situated on the banks of the Godavari at Basar in Telengana].

M. Ranadheer Reddy, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction/SCR and other officers were present during the inspection. Opening of this double line section will ease traffic congestion and facilitate faster, smoother train operations between Mudkhed and Medchal.
