Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook detailed inspection of Carriage Repair Shop (CRS), Tirupati today i.e., 2nd March, 2026.
Shri S. Srinivas, Chief Workshop Manager, CRS, Tirupati, Shri U. Sudhakar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal Division and other Officials accompanied him.
The General Manager carried out detailed inspection of Carriage Repair Workshop and reviewed the working of CBR Shop, wherein he inspected the Vande Bharat coaches and also conventional AC coaches. Further, the General Manager conducted a thorough inspection of entire workshop premises by reviewing the work of each section like CF Shop, Bogie section, Wheel Press machine, AJTB machine. The General Manager inspected Coaches in Outgoing shop, Bio-Toilets overhauling section.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava also inspected safety equipment available at workshop, interacted with workshop staff, and enquired about the safety precautions being observed while on duty. Officials of workshop detailed the master plan to General Manager and explained about the future plans for expansion of the workshop.
Later, A Power Point Presentation was given by the CRS officials about performance and progress of the workshop and discussed further actions. The General Manager interacted with Trade Union representatives and received representations.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava appreciated the team of officials and staff for the excellent work done in improving productivity, quality, over all housekeeping, efforts to adopt changes with technological up-gradation initiatives to enhance passenger safety.
