SER Kharagpur division: CRS inspects Soro-Ranital 3rd line

Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), South Eastern Circle, Brijesh Kumar Mishra inspected the newly constructed third line between Soro and Ranital stations on March 17 and March 18, 2026.

On day one (March 17,2026), he did a thorough inspection of Soro station and yard. He then proceeded to Sabira station by motor trolley conducting inspection of track on the way.

Thereafter, he inspected Sabira station and yard. He also did a trolly inspection up to Bridge No. 336 ending day one.

On day two (March 18,2026) , he inspected Markona station and yard and conducted a detailed inspection from Markona to Ranital.

On reaching Ranital , he thoroughly examined the works done at the station and yard. Then he proceeded to conduct a speed trial between Ranital and Soro to check track strength and safety standards.

During the inspection, the CRS was accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Kharagpur, Lalit Mohan Pandey and other senior officials.

The opening of this line will improve line capacity in Kharagpur division of South Eastern Railway facilitating faster movement of goods and passenger trains.
