The MEMU carshed at Asansol has made several modifications to an old Mainline Electric Multiple Unit trainset. The MEMU was put into service on 2nd October 2020.
Parivesh MEMU, as the improved train is called, features several facilities.
The train has renovated hygienic toilet and attractive ambience for awareness of passengers on “Green India Clean India” theme. Coach interior panels are painted with environment awareness paintings.
(1) 3 trailer coaches have been provided with bio toilets.
(2) Toilets are upgraded with Steel mug, soap stand, liquid soap with dispenser, health faucet, best quality synthetic metal (PTMT) made push cock etc have been provided in each toilet with environment theme painted in wall panelling. Health faucet, best quality synthetic metal (PTMT) made push-type tap has been provided in all toilets in all trailer coaches.
(3) Mobile charging points with mobile tray,energy-efficient LED-based (9 W) tube light have been provided instead of conventional florescent light (20 W) in all coaches. LED base destination boards have been provided for increasing visible distance.
