CR freight earnings touch Rs 708.14 crore in April 2026

Central Railway loaded 6.72 MT (million tonnes) of freight in April-2026 as against 6.57 MT during April-2025, up two per cent year-on-year (yoy).

Of the total loading of 6.72 MT, Nagpur division loaded 3.97 MT (59 per cent) followed by Mumbai division with 1.59 MT(24 per cent). Solapur division loaded 0.59 MT by Solapur division, Bhusaval division loaded 0.43 MT while Pune division loaded 0.14 MT.

Total freight revenue in April-2026 was Rs.708.14 crore as against Rs.680.05 crore in April-2025, an increase of over four per cent yoy.

The biggest revenue contributor was Nagpur division with Rs.432.16 crore (61 per cent) followed by Mumbai division with Rs.150.40 crore which is (21 per cent). Revenue from Bhusaval division was Rs.55.71 crore, while Solapur and Pune divisions earned Rs.41.27 crore and Rs.28.60 crore respectively.
