CR: Railway Board Chairman Inspects Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai

Chairman, Railway Board, Ex-Officio Principal Secretary, Govt of India, Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, visited Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai today 30.11.2019. During his visit he was accompanied by Shri A. K. Gupta, General Manager, Western Railway, Dr. R. Badri Narayan, Additional General Manager, Central Railway, Shri Shalabh Goel, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division, Central Railway IRSDCL, MRVC and other senior officials.

Chairman Railway Board, during his inspection, Shri S.K. Lohia, MD and CEO, IRSDCL explained the CSMT station redevelopment plan. Later, he Inspected CSMT Suburban Concourse, Star Chamber, Self Ticketing Zone, the concourse area of DRM’s Annexe building, newly developed passenger corridor from platform no.14 to 18. CRB also took review of proposed harbour line landing at platform no.18 adjacent to Heritage Gully,

Chairman Railway Board also discussed with officials the future action plan  for capacity augmentation to meet the increasing demands of passengers like additional trains from Mumbai and also early completion of Dedicated Freight Corridor. Shri V.K. Yadav, Chairman Railway Board declared a cash award of Rs.50,000/- for  cleanliness, sanitation and upkeep of the CSMT station.
