Doubling Work on 46 km Roha-Veer Line Complete, Will Reduce Bottlenecks, Says Konkan Railway

Konkan Railway Corporation (KRCL) has completed Doubling Work on a 46.8-kilometre stretch of track between Roha and Veer stations.

The doubling work was completed on 30th August 2021. Work on the 530 crore project began in October 2016.

KRCL says that the line will reduce bottlenecks on this stretch, improve efficiency in operations with better line capacity.

The first train, 02619 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Mangaluru Central  Special journey dated 30/08/2021 passed in Down Line from Roha at 19.35 hrs & in Up Line Train No. 06346 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special journey dated 29/08/2021 reached Roha at 20.17hrs.
