Electrification: Revised 2019-20 Targets for CR, All of Pune – Miraj – Kolhapur route to be completed this year

The Railway Board has reviewed Electrification targets and has come up with revised quarterly commissioning targets for every zone.

RB had earlier set a steep target of over ten thousand kilometres of route to be electrified in 2019-20 across IR.

With the revision of targets, new sections added to this year’s schedule. These include Jasai – Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Miraj – Kolhapur and Kirloskarwadi – Miraj. The total route km to be electrified on CR in 2019-20 has now increased from 722 km to 859 km.

Below are the revised targets and expected timelines for commissioning of electrification for Central Railway:
