ER to run two specials towards Amritsar

To clear the rush of passengers, Eastern Railway (ER) will run special trains between Howrah – Amritsar and Kolkata- Amritsar as follows:-

Train number 03005 Howrah-Amritsar festival special (Via Dankuni ) will leave Howrah at 19:15 hrs on 18.01.2021,19.01.2021 and 20.01.2021 to reach Amritsar  at 08:40  hrs on the 3rd day.

Train number 03006 Amritsar-Howrah festival special (Via Dankuni) will leave Amritsar at 18:25 hrs on 20.01.2021,21.01.2021 and 22.01.2021 to reach Howrah at 07:30 hrs on the 3rd day.

Train number 02317 Kolkata-Amritsar festival special (Via Dankuni ) will leave Kolkata  at 07:40 hrs on 20.01.2021 to reach Amritsar  at 17:20  hrs on the next day.

Train number 02318 Amritsar-Kolkata festival special (Via Dankuni) will leave Amritsar at 05:55 hrs on 22.01.2021 to reach Kolkata  at 14:45 hrs on the next day.

Booking of the above special trains for UP direction will be available from 11.01.2021  at 08:00 hrs through PRS and Internet.  Special charges for special trains  will be applicable. Concessional booking is not allowed.

Circular Railway services  to be regulated on Makar Sankaranti

For Holy bath in the river Ganges on the occasion of “Makar Sankranti”, morning services of Circular Railway trains will be controlled on 14.1.2021 (Thursday).Consequently, the following arrangements in train running have been made:

·         Four pairs of Circular Railway EMU locals will be short terminated at/originated from Tala station.

·         Two pairs will be diverted to terminate at/originate from Sealdah (North)

·         Four trains will be diverted via Kankurgachi – Ballygunge route.

·         One pair will be diverted to terminate at/originate from Ballygunge.

·         One pair  Circular Railway local short terminate at/originated from Ballygunge and  diverted via Ballygunge-Kankurgachi.

·         One pair Circular Railway local will remain cancelled on that day.

ER Kumbh Mela Specials

ER will run special trains between Howrah and Yog Nagari Rishikesh and   Howrah and Dehradoon to clear the rush of pilgrims during ensuing Kumbh        Mela-2021.

Train number 03009 Howrah-Yog Nagari Rishikesh special train will leave Howrah daily at 20:25 hrs. from  12.01.2021 to 30.04.2021  to reach Yog    Nagari Rishikesh at 05:30 hrs. on the 3rd day.

Train number 03010 Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Howrah  special train will leave Yog Nagari Rishikesh daily at 20:50 hrs. from 14.01.2021 to 02.05.2021 to reach Howrah at 07:00 hrs. on the 3rd day.

Train number 02327 Howrah-Dehradoon special will leave Howrah at 13:00 hrs on every Tuesday and Friday between 12.01.2021 and 30.04.2021 to reach Dehradoon at 18:05 hrs. on the 2nd day.

Train number 02328 Dehradoon-Howrah special will leave Dehradoon at 22:10 hrs. on every Wednesday and Saturday between 13.01.2021 and  01.05.2021 to reach Howrah at 03:15 hrs. on the 3rd day.

Train number 02369 Howrah-Dehradoon special will leave Howrah at 13:00 hrs. on every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday between 13.01.2021 and 29.04.2021 to reach Dehradoon at 18:05 hrs. on the 2nd day.

Train number 02370 Dehradoon- Howrah special will leave Dehradoon at 22:10 hrs. on every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 14.01.2021 and 30.04.2021 to reach Howrah at 03:15 hrs. on the 3rd day.

ER’S arrangements for Gangasagar Mela

For Gangasagar Mela 2021 ER will run 12 EMU Mela Special trains for Lakshmikantapur-Kakdwip-Namkhana section between 12th and 17th January, 2021 from Sealdah (South), Kolkata, Lakshmikantapur and Namkhana stations.

Of these , three trains will leave from Sealdah (South), two from Kolkata, five from Namkhana and one each from Lakshmikantapur and Kakdwip station. Besides this, ER is already running special trains from Sealdah to Lalgola from January 7 to January 15 and from Lalgola to Sealdah from Januaryu 8 to January 16.

During Mela period, round the clock additional booking counters will be opened at Sealdah, Kakdwip, Namkhana stations. Other amenities include round the clock water supply, adequate lighting at station premises, illumination of approach roads, CCTV surveillance, RPF/GRP vigil, toilet and sanitation facilities, medical and May I Help You booths, volunteers of Civil Defence, services of Scouts and Guides, St. John Ambulance for crowd management and providing assistance to the passengers in need. Tower wagons will be deployed at Baruipur, Lakshmikantapur and Sealdah.
