Indian Railways will advertise 1.3 lakh vacancies in the February 23, edition of employment news for forthcoming recruitment, IR said in statement.
Online registration for the first tranche consisting of non-technical categories may be done from February 28 onwards. These are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard,Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master and the like.
The second tranche will open on March 4 for paramedical categories such as like Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant and lab Superintendent.
In the third tranche starting March 8, online registration will open for candidates eligible for Ministerial and Isolated Categories like Stenographer, Chief Assistant and Junior Translator (Hindi).
These three tranches would account for 30000 posts. In addition, IR will also recruit about one lakh staff in Level-1 (erstwhile Group-DCategories) for which online registration would open on March 12.
Applications for all posts will be accepted online only, IR said, adding that it was already processing applications for filling up 1.5 lakh posts in safety categories.
