Nanded – Nizamuddin Marathwada Sampark Kranti gets approval

The Railway Board has approved the introduction of a new train from Huzur Saheb Nanded to Hazrat Nizamuddin, the Marathwada Sampark Kranti Express.

Initially it will run as a weekly express departing Nanded on Tuesdays and Hazrat Nizamuddin on Wednesdays. As of now, it will be introduced with standard ICF/RCF design coaches. It will comprise of two 3-Tier AC, one 2-tier AC, 6 Sleeper class, four General Second class and two SLRD Guard cum luggage and Disabled seating cars. The rake will be maintained at Nanded by the Nanded division of South Central Railways.

The train will depart Nanded at 8am on Tuesday and reach Nizamuddin at 1pm the next day. In the return, it departs Nizamuddin at 7.50pm on Wednesday and reaches Nanded at 1am on Friday. It will stop at Parbhani, Jalna, Aurangabad, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhopal, Jhansi and Agra Cantt.

The train is likely to be officially announced soon and inaugurated within a week’s time.
