Indian Railways has introduced more special trains for Gorakhpur, Mumbai, Barauni, Hatia, Chhapra, Bhagalpur and Pune, as well as extended services and augmented coaches in another train. Details below:
New Special Trains
1. Pune-Bhagalpur Special
01423 special will leave Pune at 21.15 hrs on 10.4.2021 and arrive in Bhagalpur at 11.30 hrs on the third day. 01424 special will leave Bhagalpur at 22.30 hrs on 12.4.2021 and arrive in Pune at 12.05 hrs on the third day.
Halts: Lonavala, Panvel, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., Patna, Barh, Kiul, Jamalpur
Composition: Two 3AC, One Sleeper, 18 Second seating.
2. Mumbai-Gorakhpur Special
01147 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 06.35 hrs on 11.4.2021 and arrive in Gorakhpur at 18.40 hrs the next day. 01148 special will leave Gorakhpur at 08.45 hrs on 13.4.2021 and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 22.30 hrs the next day.
Halts: Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Jn., Janghai, Bhadohi, Varanasi, Mau, Bhatni, Deoria Sadar

3. Train No. 09005/09006 Bandra (T) – Barauni Jn Special Train on Special Fare (Weekly) (14 trips)
Train No. 09005 Bandra Terminus – Barauni Weekly special will depart Bandra Terminus every Friday at 15.45 hrs & will reach Barauni at 13.20 hrs on Sunday. This train will run from 16th April to 28th May 2021.
Similarly, Train No. 09006 Barauni- Banda Terminus Weekly special will leave Barauni Jn every Monday at 00.30 hrs & will arrive at Bandra Terminus at 17.25 hrs on Tuesday. This train will run from 19th April 2021 to 31st May 2021.
En-route this train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bayana, Agra Fort, Tundla, Kanpur Central, Lucknow City, Faizabad, Varanasi, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jn, Buxar and Patna stations in both directions.
This train comprises of AC 2-Tier cum 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and Second Class seating coaches.
4. Train No. 09095/09096 Bandra (T) – Subedarganj AC Superfast Special Train on Special Fare (Weekly) (16 trips)
Train No.09095 Bandra Terminus – Subedarganj Weekly AC Superfast Special will depart Bandra Terminus every Monday at 21.45 hrs & will reach Subedarganj at 03.00 hrs on Wednesday. This train will run from 12th April to 31st May 2021.
Similarly, Train No.09096 Subedarganj – Banda Terminus Weekly AC Superfast special will leave Subedarganj every Wednesday at 05.30 hrs & will arrive at Bandra Terminus at 11.20 hrs on Thursday. This train will run from 14th April 2021 to 2nd June 2021.
En route this train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bayana, Agra Fort, Etawah and Kanpur Central stations in both directions. This train comprises AC 3-Tier and AC Chair Car coaches.
5. Train No. 09081/09082 Surat – Hatia Superfast Special Train on Special Fare (Weekly) (14 trips)
Train No. 09081 Surat – Hatia Weekly special will depart Surat every Thursday at 14.20 hrs & will reach Hatia at 17.30 hrs on Friday. This train will run from 15th April to 27th May 2021.
Similarly, Train No. 09082 Hatia – Surat Weekly special will leave Hatia every Saturday at 00.20 hrs & will arrive Surat at 04.00 hrs on Sunday. This train will run from 17th April 2021 to 29th May 2021.
En route this train will halt at Nandurbar, Bhusaval, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda and Rourkela stations in both directions. This train comprises AC 2-Tier cum 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and Second Class seating coaches.
6. 09087/09088 Udhna – Chhapra Superfast Special Train on Special fare (Weekly) (6 trips)
Train No. 09087 Udhna – Chhapra Special train will depart Udhna at 08.35 hrs every Friday and will reach Chhapra at 13.20 hrs on Saturday. This train will run from 16th April to 30th April 2021.
Similarly, Train No. 09088 Chhapra – Udhna Special train will leave Chhapra at 00.15 hrs every Sunday and will reach Udhna at 07.00 hrs on Monday. This train will run from 18th April to 2nd May 2021. This train will halt at Nandurbar, Bhusawal, Etarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Cheoki, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Jaunpur and Ballia stations in both directions.
This train comprises AC 2-Tier, Sleeper Class and Second Class seating coaches.
The booking of Train No. 09095 will open on 10th April 2021, booking of Train No. 09005 & 09081 will open on 12th April 2021 & booking of Train No. 09087 will open on 14th April 2021 at nominated PRS counters and on the IRCTC website
Extension of train, Increase in Frequency
Gorakhpur-Kochuveli Special to operate till 27th June, and frequency increased to tri-weekly
North Eastern Railway has notified extension, change in frequency and revised coach composition for Train No. 02511/02512 Gorakhpur Jn. – Kochuveli – Gorakhpur Jn. Superfast Special, as detailed below.
Train No. 02511 Gorakhpur Jn. – Kochuveli Bi-Weekly Superfast Festival Special(Fridays & Sundays) has been extended to operate till 27th June 2021.
The train will operate with revised Coach Composition of One – AC 2 Tier, Five – AC 3 Tier, Eleven – Sleeper Class, Four –Second Class General and Two – Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches with effect from 11th April 2021.
From 15th April 2021, its frequency has been increased and the train will operate as Train No. 02511 Gorakhpur Jn. – Kochuveli Tri-Weekly special leaving Gorakhpur Jn. on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Train No. 02512 Kochuveli – Gorakhpur Jn. Bi-Weekly Superfast Festival Special(Tuesdays and Wednesdays) has been extended to operate till 30th June 2021. The train will operate with revised coach composition of One – AC 2 Tier, Five – AC 3 Tier, Eleven – Sleeper Class, Four –Second Class General and Two – Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches from 14th April 2021.
From 18th April 2021, its frequency has been increased and the train will operate as Train No. 02512 Kochuveli – Gorakhpur Jn. Tri-Weekly Special leaving Kochuveli on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Bengaluru Mysuru MEMU Service Frequency Increased
Train No. 06255/06256 KSR Bengaluru – Mysuru – KSR Bengaluru MEMU will run on all days in a week with effect commencing journey from KSR Bengaluru from 10.04.2021 to until further advice and from Mysuru from 11.04.2021 to until further advice.
Train No. 06257/06258 KSR Bengaluru – Mysuru – KSR Bengaluru MEMU will run on all days in a week with effect commencing journey from both sides from 11.04.2021 to until further advice.
