NFR on Thursday celebrated the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the great visionary whose tireless efforts helped India to remain united. The crucial role played by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in national integration of independent India was propagated to general masses through various measures of IEC (Information, Education and Communication) activities spreading throughout NFR.
As part of the activities pledge was administered to all officers & staff of NFR HQ by Shri Radhey Raman, Addl. General Manager / N.F. Railway. A run for unity was also organised where officers, staff, sports person and volunteers of Scout & Guides also participated. A quiz competition was also held on the topic “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his role on national integration” during the occasion where employees of all departments participated. Street plays were also organised to create awareness.
Videos on the life and activities of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was prepared in various languages and shown through display system of important stations all over NFR. Later a colourful cultural programme depicting “unity in diversity” of our country was also performed by the staff of NFR HQ.
