
A 300-metre long new foot-over-bridge (FOB) connecting Northern Railway’s (NR) Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station with Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station was thrown open to the public on Thursday.
This FOB will provide easy access to passengers between Nizamuddin railway station and Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station. Entry and exit points at Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station have been provided with escalators and elevators that are Divyangjan friendly.

Besides, signage boards and instruction boards have also been provided for incoming and outgoing passengers at Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station.
Six moving walk/Travellators of length 65 metres each, (three Travellators each way) have been provided on this FOB. Sufficient illumination has been provided at the entrance, walkway and Moving Walks/Travellators.

The FOB is under surveillance by CCTV cameras. NR has provided five unreserved ticket counters and one enquiry counter at the Hazrat Nizamuddin station side. Apart from this, eight ATVMs and QR code with instructions on how to obtain tickets on Rail One super App have also been made available.
The time taken to cover the entire FOB is approximately 4-5 minutes. In addition, passengers coming/going to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station from Sarai Kale Khan Ring Road can also make use of this new FOB.
