Pernem tunnel fit for running trains: Konkan Railway

Pernem tunnel on Konkan Railway between Madure and Pernem has been certified fit for running trains at 2200 hours on September 15, 2020.

 The tunnel was closed for traffic since August 6, 2020 after the tunnel lining wall collapsed at Km marker 384/6-7 a Konkan Railway statement said.

The following cancelled / diverted special trains will resume normal services as detailed below.

1.      Train No.02432 New Delhi – Thiruvananthapuram Central Rajdhani Triweekly Superfast special will resume normal services from 16th September 2020.

2.      Train No.02431 Thiruvananthapuram Central – New Delhi Rajdhani Triweekly Superfast special will resume normal services from 17th September 2020.

3.      Train No.06346 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus daily special train will resume normal services from 16th September 2020.

4.      Train No.06345 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Thiruvananthapuram Central daily special train will resume normal services from 16th September 2020.

5.      Train No.02617 Ernakulam Jn. – Hazrat Nizamuddin daily superfast special train will run in the normal route via Madgaon – Roha – Panvel – Kalyan Jn from 15th September 2020.

6.      Train No.02618 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Jn. daily superfast special train will run in the normal route via Kalyan Jn. – Panvel – Roha – Madgaon from 16th September 2020.

7.      Train No.02284 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Jn. Duronto weekly special train scheduled to leave Hazrat Nizamuddin 19th September 2020 onwards will operate in the normal route via Kalyan Jn. – Panvel – Roha – Madgaon – Manglore Jn.

8.      Train No.02283 Ernakulam Jn. – Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto weekly special scheduled to leave Ernakulam Jn. 22nd September 2020 onwards will operate in the normal route via Mangalore Jn. –Madgaon – Roha – Panvel – Kalyan Jn.
