Platform ticket rate hike: More number of stations added

More railway zones hiked the platform ticket rate from Rs 10 to Rs 50 per ticket to ensure less crowding at important railway stations.

This measure has been implemented only in stations which are crowded and comes into effect immediately. The details are given below:

 Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay division (DDU)  of East Central Railway has implemented this in Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Jn,  Bhabhua Road, Sasaram, Dehri-on-Sone, Anugrah Narayan Road and Gaya.

Dhanbad division of ECR has done it in Dhanbad, Gomoh, Parasnath, Koderma,Chandrapura,Barkakana, Daltonganj, Garhwa Road, Renukut, Chopan and Singrauli.

Sonpur division has hiked platform ticket rates at Muzaffarpur,Barauni,Hajipur, Khagaria, Sonpur,Begusarai mAnsi and Naugachia.

A dozen stations across Samastipur division of ECR namely, Saharsa, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Raxaul,Laheriasarai, Sitamarhi, Motihari, Bettiah, Jaynagar, Narkatiaganj, Sagauli and Madhubani has  hiked platform ticket rates until March 31, 2020.

On West Central Railway, platform toicket rates have been hiked at Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Rewa, Katni Murwara, Sagar, Damoh, Narsinghpur, Madanmahal, Pipariya, Itarsi, Habibganj, Bhopal and Bina.

 On North Central Railway, the hike in platform ticket rates has also been implemented at Jhansi, Gwalior, Morena,Banda, Datia, Dabra,Khajuraho,Lalitpur,Orai, Mahoba and Chitrakut Dham Karwi.
