
South Eastern Railway (SER) has floated a Rs 613.99 crore tender for constructing a 3rd line between Chandil and Madhukunda under the EPC mode (Engineering, Procurement and Construction).

The details of the project is as follows:
The project includes construction of 3rd line work including earthwork, blanketing, minor bridges, major bridges, LC work and other miscellaneous works for 25.0T and DFC feeder route of Indian Railway Standard Loading.
Execution of indoor & outdoor S&T works, execution of general electrical works, installation and commissioning of 2×25 kV overhead equipment (OHE) for traction and power supply in connection with the 3rd Line work of Chandil Madhukunda section are also included in the tender.
The estimated project cost is Rs 613.99 crore and the period of completion is 36 months as per the tender document. The tender closes on October 23,2026.
