Southern Railway will run special trains- one between Erode and Chennai and the other between Palakkad Town and Tiruchchirappalli as follows:-
1. Fully Reserved Daily Super Fast Special Trains between Erode – Chennai Central
Train No.02650 Erode – Chennai Central daily super fast special train will leave Erode at 21.00 hrs. from 10.01.2021 onwards and reach Chennai Central at 03.45 hrs. the next day.
Train No.02649 Chennai Central – Erode daily super fast special train will leave Chennai Central at 22.40 hrs. from 11.01.2021 onwards and reach Erode at 05.50 hrs. next day.
Composition: AC First Class-cum-AC 2 tier – 1, AC 2-tier – 2, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 13, General Second Class – 3 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.
Stoppages: Sankaridurg, Salem, Bommidi, Morappur, Tiruppattur, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur and Perambur.
Train No.02650 Erode – Chennai Central daily super fast special train will stop at Samalpatti, Vaniyambadi, Ambur, Gudiyattam and Walajah Road.
Train No.02650 Erode – Chennai Central daily super fast special train will run from 10.01.2021 until further advice.
Train No.02649 Chennai Central – Erode daily superfast special train will run from 11.01.2021 until further advice.
2. Fully Reserved Daily Express Special Trains between Tiruchchirappalli – Palakkad Town
Train No.06843 Tiruchchirappalli – Palakkad Town daily express special train will leave Tiruchchirappalli at 13.00 hrs. from 06.01.2021 onwards and reach Palakkad Town at 20.35 hrs. the same day.
Train No.06844 Palakkad Town – Tiruchchirappalli daily super fast express special train will leave Palakkad Town at 06.55 hrs. from 07.01.2021 onwards and reach Tiruchchirappalli at 13.50 hrs. same day.
Composition: Second Class Chair Car – 1, General Second Class – 10 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.
Stoppages: Tiruchchirappalli Fort, Pettaivaytalai, Kulitalai, Sithalavai, Karur, Pugalur, Kodumudi, Pasur, Erode, Uttukuli, Tiruppur, Somanur, Pilamedu, Coimbatore North, Coimbatore, Podanur, Madukkarai, Ettimadai, Walayar, Kanjikode and Palakkad Jn.
Train No.06843 Tiruchchirappalli – Palakkad Town daily express special train will stop at Ingur, Sulur Road and Singanallur also.
