South Western Railway will increase the frequency of a train between Bengaluru and Mangaluru Central via Kunigal from 4 days a week to daily and add another tri-weekly train between the two stations via Mysuru. The zone has also announced revised timings of other trains. Details below.
Increased Frequency of Train No. 06515 / 06516 KSR Bengaluru – Mangaluru Central – KSR Bengaluru Special Express via Kunigal
South Western Railway will increase the frequency of a train between Bengaluru and Mangaluru Central via Kunigal from 4 days a week to daily.
Train No. 06515 KSR Bengaluru – Mangaluru Central Special Express will depart daily from KSR Bengaluru at 21:30 hrs and arrive Mangaluru Central at 07:55 hrs on the next day with effect commencing journey from KSR Bengaluru from 11.04.2021.
Enroute the train will arrive/depart Yesvantpur – 21:40/21:42 hrs, Kunigal – 22:35/22:36, B.G. Nagar – 23:00/23:01 hrs, Shravanabelagola – 23:27/23:28 hrs, Channarayapatna – 23:39/23:40 hrs, Hassan – 00:35/00:40 hrs, Sakleshpur – 01:45/01:55 hrs, Subrahmanya Road – 05:00/05:05 hrs, Kabakputtur – 05:50/05:52 hrs, Bantawala – 06:20/06:22 hrs and Mangaluru Jn. – 07:18/07:20 hrs.
In the return direction Train No. 06516 Mangaluru Central – KSR Bengaluru Special Express will depart daily from Mangaluru Central at 20:10 hrs and arrive at KSR Bengaluru at 06:50 hrs on the next day with effect commencing journey from Mangaluru Central from 12.04.2021.
En route the train will arrive/depart Mangaluru Jn. – 20:23/20:25 hrs, Bantawala – 20:50/20:52 hrs, Kabakputtur – 21:18/21:20 hrs, Subrahmanya Road – 22:10/22:15 hrs, Sakleshpur – 02:00/02:05 hrs, Hassan – 03:00/03:05 hrs, Channarayapatna – 03:42/03:43 hrs, B. G. Nagar – 04:21/04:22 hrs, Kunigal – 04:44/04:45 hrs and Yesvantpur – 06:20/06:22 hrs.
There will be no change in composition of the above trains.
Consequently after increasing the frequency of Train No. 06515 / 06516 KSR Bengaluru – Mangaluru Central – KSR Bengaluru Special Express via Kunigal from 4 days a week to daily, the services of Train No. 06517/06518 KSR Bengaluru – Mangaluru Central – KSR Bengaluru will be cancelled with effect commencing journey from KSR Bengaluru from 11.04.2021 and from Mangaluru Central from 12.04.2021
New Tri-Weekly Express Special Between KSR Bengaluru to Mangaluru via Mysuru
It is decided to run Train No. 06531 / 06532 KSR Bengaluru – Mangaluru Central – KSR Bengaluru Fully reserved Tri-Weekly Express Special via Mysuru with normal fare as detailed below:-
Train No. 06531 KSR Bengaluru – Mangaluru Central Tri-Weekly Special Express will depart KSR Bengaluru at 20:30 hrs on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday and arrive Mangaluru Central at 09:10 hrs on the next day with effect commencing journey from KSR Bengaluru from 10.04.2021 to until further advice.
Enroute the train will arrive/depart Kengeri – 20:49/20:50 hrs, Ramanagaram – 21:15/21:16 hrs, Channapatna – 21:26/21:27 hrs, Mandya – 21:55/21:56 hrs, Mysuru – 23:05/23:20 hrs, Krishnarajanagar – 23:54/23:55 hrs, Hole Narsipur – 00:43/00:45 hrs, Hassan – 01:30/01:40 hrs, Sakleshpur – 03:00/03:10 hrs, Subrahmanya Road – 06:10/06:15 hrs, Kabakaputtur – 07:00/07:02 hrs, Bantawala – 07:30/07:32 hrs and Mangaluru Junction – 08:38/08:40 hrs.

Revision in timings of trains
South Western Railway has decided to revise the timings of Train No. 06585 / 06586 KSR Bengaluru – Karwar – KSR Bengaluru Superfast Express Special as detailed below:-
Train No. 06585 KSR Bengaluru – Karwar Superfast Express Special will depart KSR Bengaluru at 18:40 hrs and arrive at Karwar at 08:25 hrs on the next day. Timings of this train at en-route stations will be revised as detailed below with effect from commencing journey from KSR Bengaluru from 11.04.2021.
Accordingly, en route, the train will arrive/depart with revised timings at Yesvantpur – 18:50/18:52 hrs, Channarayapatna – 20:36/20:37 hrs, Hassan – 21:15/21:20 hrs, Sakleshpur – 22:15/22:30 hrs, Subrahmanya Road – 01:15/01:20 hrs, Kabakputtur – 02:04/02:05 hrs, Bantawala – 02:33/02:35. hrs. There will be no change in the timings of this train between Surathkal to Karwar.
In the return direction there will be no change in timings of Train No. 06586 Karwar – KSR Bengaluru Superfast Express Special between Karwar to Surathkal. Train No. 06243 KSR Bengaluru – Hosapete Daily Express Special will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 05:00 hrs and arrive at Hosapete at 16:00 hrs the same day with effect commencing journey from KSR Bengaluru from 05.04.2021.
There will be no change in the timings of this train between KSR Bengaluru and Challakere. After Challakere the train will arrive/depart at Talaku – 11:03 / 11:05 hrs, Molakalmuru – 11:28/11:30 hrs, Rayadurg – 11:53/11:55 hrs, Ballari – 14:10/14:20 hrs and Toranagallu – 14:54/14:56 hrs.
