Indian Railways has decided that three more train pairs will bypass Vadodara junction effective November 17.
They are:- train numbers 19165/66 Sabarmati Express, 12947/48 Azimabad Express and 19421/22 Ahmedabad-Patna Express.
However, all these trains will halt at Vadodara’s newly constructed satellite station at Chhayapuri.
The move follows WR’s decision to de-congest Vadodara besides eliminating direction and loco reversal for trains to and from Ahmedabad.
Henceforth, train number 19165 will halt at Chhayapuri for minutes between 2302 and 2307 hours while train number 19166 will halt between 00:49 and 00:54 hours.
Train number 12947 will halt at Chhayapuri for five minutes between 2346 and 2351 hours. On its return leg it will halt between 02:15 and 02:20 hours.
Similarly train number 19421 will halt between 2346 and 2351 hours while the timings for the return leg is between 1936 and 1941 hours.
