The Railway Board has directed General Managers of all zonal railways to install video cameras at critical locations such as station master rooms/panel rooms and relay rooms.
The move follows IR’s quest to enhance safety in rail operations, prevent untoward incidents besides helping in finding out the cause of any untoward incident.
IR is already in the process of installing cameras in the driving cab of each locomotive.
