WR: CRS Conducts Inspection, Speed Trial on Newly Electrified Hapa-Bhatiya Section

The Commissioner of Railway Safety conducted an inspection of the newly electrified Hapa-Bhatiya section on 19th March 2020.

Work on the 109 route km / 133 track km single line section was carried out by Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd for Indian Railways. Out of the total stretch, the line from Hapa-Kanalus Junction is high-rise OHE and the rest of the section to Bhatiya is standard height electrification.

The section is part of Western Railway’s Rajkot division. A speed trial of 110 kmph was also conducted on this section on the same day. Rajkot Division has nearly five sidings in this region. Completion of work on Hapa- Bhatiya section will improve connectivity by electric traction.
