Western Railway (WR) has extended the trips of two Kisan Rail special trains from Dahanu Road to Adarsh Nagar station (Delhi) up to March 31, 2021.
Trips of Kisan Rail Train No. 00971 and Train No. 00979 have been extended to transport Chikoo and other products from these areas.
Accordingly, trips of train number 00971 has been extended from February 23, 2021 to March 30, 2021 while train number 00979 has been extended March 1, 2021 to March 31, 2021 .
Train number 00971 departs Dahanu Road on every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday while train number 00979 departs Dahanu Road on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
WR’s Mumbai Central division ran its first Kisan Rail on January 28, 2021 from Dahanu Road station to Adarsh Nagar station in Delhi restoring transportation of chikoo traffic after 15 years.
This Kisan Special train connects Chikoo farmers and APMCs of Amalsad, Chikli, Udvada, Pardi and Dahanu region to the North Indian market.
