Major Highlights for Western Railway
Ø 10.96% increase in allocation for Western Railway as compared to 2019-20.
Ø Total Gross Outlay of Rs 7042 Cr has been made for Western Railway.
Ø Rs.1402 Cr have been allocated to construction works includes major work such as New Lines, Gauge Conversion & Doubling.
Ø Major increase in allocation for traffic facility work, computerisation, Road Safety works, Signalling modernisation, training of staff, etc.
Ø 50.58 Cr have been allocated for yard remodelling and other works like development of basic facilities for goods shed, high level platform with additional loop at yard, extension of pit line, provision of cross over, provision of automatic signalling, Removal of permanent speed restrictions, etc.
Ø 6.79 Cr allocated for computerisation which includes setting up of ATVMs, Extension of Unreserved Ticketing System to E category station etc.
Ø Rs.509.42 Cr have been allocated for ROBs, RUBs/LHSs & Level Crossings etc. Rs 901.40 Cr have been allotted to other safety related works like track renewals, bridge works, Tunnel works etc.
Ø Rs.279.70 Cr have been allocated for passenger amenities works.
Ø Rs. 178.59 have been allotted for S&T and other electrical works including TRD.
