GM NCR reviews performance metrics

Vinay Kumar Tripathi, General Manager North Central and North Eastern Railway reviewed  parameters related to safety, freight loading, revenue, expenditure control, key infrastructure projects, HR management and efficiency enhancement measures over NCR through video conferencing.

Present during the review were AGM NCR, Principal Heads of Departments of NCR besides  DRMs of Prayagraj, Jhansi and Agra divisions. 

Key infrastructure works related to doubling, gauge conversion, construction of flyovers, electrification etc. were reviewed. GM advised that all mobility and capacity enhancement works must be completed as per stipulated target.

Scrap sales

NCR’s sundry earning and earning from scrap sale in current financial year so far, are Rs. 29.18 crores and Rs. 169.41 crores respectively. NCR has ascxrap sales target of Rs 210 croroe this fiscal.

Safety

During the fiscal FY21, NCR eliminated 35 level crossings; interlocked 7 level crossings besides constructing 35 road under bridges and 3 road over bridges.

For safe train operations during fog, more than 2000 fog safe devices are being provided at different crew lobbies and divisions confirmed that fog-safe device is being provided on all trains over NCR.

During the current financial year eight safety drives were conducted for railway staff as well as public. Besides,64 NCR owned coaches are being provided with fire and smoke detection for very early detection of fire and smoke cases in passenger coaches.

Punctuality

NCR maintained 91.39 per cent punctuality in FY 21, registering improvement of over 60 per cent over last year.

While reviewing punctuality, GM instructed that all data capturing should be automatic and advised for provision of data logger at balance locations on priority.
