Central and Western Railway will increase the number of local train services on the Mumbai suburban network from 29th January 2021.
204 suburban services will be added to the existing 2,781 services making it 2,985 services on Mumbai Suburban network with effect from 29th January 2021.
Central Railway has decided increase the suburban services from the existing 1580 to 1685 services and Western Railway has decided to increase the existing 1201 suburban services to 1300 services w.e.f. Friday, 29th January, 2021.
A joint statement released by both zones says that only passengers as permitted by Ministry of Railways and Government of Maharashtra are allowed to travel by the suburban trains
