Both Central Railway and Western Railway will impose blocks in Mumbai suburban area to carry out maintenance work on Sunday. As a result, services may be affected. Details below.
Central Railway
Date: 18.4.2021.
Matunga-Mulund Up & Dn slow lines from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm
Dn slow services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.18 am to 3.36 pm will be diverted on Dn fast line between Matunga and Mulund stations and further re-diverted on Dn slow line, skipping halts at Vidyavihar, Kanjurmarg, Nahur stations.
Up slow services leaving Thane from 10.37 am to 3.55 pm will be diverted on Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations and further re-diverted on Up slow line skipping halts at Nahur, Kanjurmarg and Vidyavihar stations.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Chunabhatti / Bandra Dn harbour line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm & Chunabhatti / Bandra- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Up harbour line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm
Dn Harbour line services to Vashi /Belapur/Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 11.34 am to 4.47 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 09.02 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended.
Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Goregaon/ Bandra from 10.10 am to 4.58 pm will remain suspended.
However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.
Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.
These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
Western Railway
WR’S JUMBO BLOCK ON UP AND DOWN HARBOUR LINE BETWEEN MAHIM & ANDHERI STATIONS ON SUNDAY, 18th APRIL, 2021
To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of six hours from 10.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs between Mahim & Bandra and five hours from 10.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs between Bandra & Andheri will be taken on UP and DOWN harbour lines on Sunday, 18th April 2021.
According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during the block period, all CSMT/Panvel-Goregaon/Andheri services to/from Central Railway and some of Churchgate – Goregaon slow services will remain cancelled, whose list is available in Station Master’s office. Passengers are requested to please take note of the above arrangements.
