Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager, South Western Railway, Hubballi accompanied by officers of various departments and Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru Division, SWR inspected the ongoing canal crossing work on the Main Line between Ajjampura and Shivani stations in the jurisdiction of Mysuru Division to explore the feasibility of expediting the work in the railway area with a timeline of about a month. This work involves diversion of track and single line working (on the double-line section) temporarily to facilitate pushing of pre-fabricated concrete boxes beneath the track.
Shri A. Narayanaswamy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Chitradurga was present during the inspection and advocated that speedy implementation of this irrigation project, preferably before south-west monsoon sets in, would help the agriculturists in Chitradurga District immensely.
