Eastern Railway (ER) will do track maintenance work on DOWN main line between Jhajha and Narganjo for three hours. The block will be taken between 13.20 hrs.and.16.20 hrs.
Traffic and Power Block will be imposed on the section on each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday between November 10 and December 5, 2019.
The impact on train services are as follows:-
Short Termination/Short Origination/Cancellation of trains on block days
·Train Number 63567/63568 Asansol – Jhajha – Asansol MEMU passenger will short terminate at Jasidih and Originate from there. The train will remain cancelled between Jasidih – Jhajha – Jasidih.
· Train Number 63208/63211 Patna – Jasidih – Patna MEMU passenger will short terminate at Jhajha and originate from there. The train will remain cancelled between Jhajha – Jasidih – Jhajha.
Besides, train numbers 53050 Mokama – Howrah Passenger and 13124 Sitamarhi – Sealdah Express will be regulated suitably en-route on block days.
ER RPF’s ‘OPERATION SAATHI’
The Railway Protection Force(RPF) on Friday conducted an awareness campaign entitled ‘OPERATION SAATHI’ urging children not to pelt stones at trains.
The workshop was held over the vulnerable and residential area alongside the railway track between Gumani and Kotalpukur stations over ER’s Howrah Division.
The elders were asked to spread the message among the children of the locality to refrain them from pelting stones on running trains.
The RPF on Friday also did an awareness campaign at Dum Dum Jn on the evils srossing railway tracks.
