East Central Railway ( ECR ) Construction Organisation (South) has floated a Rs 575.14 crore tender for doubling of 26.292-km Karnauti –Bihar Sharif section. The section is a part of the Rajgir Tilaiya doubling project under ECR’s Danapur Division.

Bids have been invited for an Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) tender for doubling works of Karnauti station (Chainage 2.844 km) to Bihar Sharif station (Chainage 28.192 km) totalling 26.292-km.
The works include earthwork, blanketing, minor bridges, major bridges, LHS/RUBs, track works, platform work, station building, FOBs, other buildings, associated S&T and Electrical Utility Shifting works and associated miscellaneous works for 25T Indian Railway Standard Loading.
The estimated project cost is Rs 575.14 crore and the period of completion as per the tender document is 810 days. The tender closes on December 30,2026 .
