Hyderabad gets a daily connection to Mysore

The 12785/86 Kacheguda – KSR Bengaluru – Kacheguda superfast express has been extended to Mysore. This makes it the second train to connect Hyderabad to Mysuru and the first one to do so on a daily basis. The towns were uptil now connected only by the Jaipur Mysuru express which runs biweekly. The extension was flagged off by the Member of Parliament, Mr Pratap Simha.

The train will remain a superfast between Kacheguda and KSR Bengaluru, but will run as a normal express train between Bengaluru and Mysuru.

The train departs KCG at 1905hrs, reaches SBC at 0625hrs as scheduled. It departs SBC at 0640hrs and reaches Mysuru at 0940hrs with stops at Kengeri, Ramanagaram and Mandya. In the return direction, it departs Mysuru at 1445hrs, reaches SBC at 1740hrs, departs at 1820hrs to reach Kacheguda at 0540hrs as scheduled.

A daily connection was needed to cater to the huge IT crowd that works in offices of software companies located at both Hyderabad and Mysuru.
